Actually I only needed 2 crowns. But I also realize I need two porcelain onlays which is the same price as the crowns. The Crowns are for the root canaled teeth, both covered with half amalgam. I really thought about bridgework too, but that requires 4 extra teeth to be crowned. It'd be nice to go without the root canals, but I'll wait and see. I am saving the two root canal teeth for last, see how i feel. So I may just extract both of them.

Anyways, I think I will just do one quadrant (2 fillings) which has the least Amalgam before I take my trip, and just take some supplements, but not chelators (not until i am done anyway). It's a gamble, but 2 small Amalgams should be ok, i hope.

I wish there were more detailed and succesfful Amalgam replacement stories on the internet though...
