My cousins live in a golf community but they can't drive the golf cart unless there is an adult present. I mean, the 12 year olds can't drive by themselves, much less 6 and 8. I think you have to be 14 or 16 to drive by yourself. I'm not sure if that is the rule of the community or a state law or what...

We used to live in the country. I saw a black rat snake once from across a big ditch, that's about it. But when a man was bushhogging some major weeds far back in the woods, a water moccasin came at him through the open floor of the machine! He hit reverse and killed it, 6 feet long! My siblings and I would wander around back in those woods every day playing, it's amazing that we never encountered any snakes.
