This is probably not the right forum to post this story, but............
Today a good friend of mine shared this story......
Her nephew, who is 6 years old, lives near New Orleans. He and his eight year old sister love to drive their Dad's golf cart around the neighborhood. Saturday, while they were out, his sister was driving the golf cart and they spotted a snake. They stopped and the little boy picked up the snake. They continued their drive in the golf cart while the little snake was curled up in his lap.
When they got home, he ran into the house to show his Mom his new snake while his sister was looking for a cage. His Mom told him to get that snake out of the house, so the little six year old carried the snake outside. As he was putting the snake down, the snake bit him on his finger. The little boy yelled for his Mom to come out. His Dad, who had been upstairs, heard his son and ran downstairs.
When his Dad saw the snake, he knew immediately it was a water moccasin. The snake was killed and the little boy was rushed to the hospital where he spent many days in ICU. He got out of the hospital yesterday and is going to be OK.
Just thought I would share.....
