Re: Are vaccinations safe, should I vaccinate my 4 year old?
Well, if homeschooling is not an option, perhaps you could find someone who could be a daytime sitter. A mom with a child the same age, whom you could pay a fee similar to what you would pay the daycare, perhaps. Or a middle aged or slightly older lady. That way someone would be keeping your child during the day but no
vaccination would be necessary. Then your child could probably eat healthier food than the junk they would give them at day care, too.
If the daycare does not REQUIRE the child to get a vaccination, then don't. You definitely made the right decision.
On the other hand, if you do decide you will get the vaccines, you can feel better knowing that you waited 4 years. And get them spread out from each other, as someone suggested, instead of all at once. I mean, think of how much larger your child is now compared to when he was just a baby. He's stronger and healthier and his body can deal with vaccines now in a better way than when he was so small. Now I don't like the idea of vaccines EVER but hey, 4 years old is better than 6 months or 1 year old.
On a different note: Since you seem to be concerned about
vaccinations and alternative health care (and you are here on Curezone!), perhaps you should re-evaluate going to school to become a nurse. You will be studying traditional medicine with all of it's "give a drug to treat a symptom" mentality. You will be required to keep up all sorts of vaccines. Nurses do help people and I'm not saying that it's not a worthy occupation, but at the same time some of the things they must do are contrary to good health and you need to ask yourself if you truly want to be submerged in this culture. I believe there are some people here at curezone who are nurses. It might be helpful for you if you could have a dialogue with them and get some insight into what all being a nurse entails, particularly in relation to natural health.
