Fibromyalgia, guaifenesin and medical marijuana; toxic or cure?

My sister has suffered from Fibromyalgia for 10 or 20 years and says guaifenesin an experimental drug is helping the "effects" of her condition. I don't believe any drug can truly help cure someone. Although she isn't about to listen to baby brother for advice, especially since I am in the Integrative Health field. Has anyone out their heard of real pros or cons of this drug with fibro patients. Their website doesnt even talk about diet or healing excersice therapies. I believe all disease comes from toxicity on the cellular level and if you use drugs you just treat the symptoms, right? Oh yeah, shes on a Berkeley, Califonia Medical Marijuana Card "medication too along with a vegan diet including of course soy! I need some links and experiences, is this a toxic or cure? I know folks get better from Fibro with detoxing, but she won't listen to me, Thanks
