Still lactating after all these years!!

O.K. here's a new one for you guys to ponder.

I have three children and breast fed all of them. Each one of my children stopped breast feeding at 12 months, on their own. My youngest child is almost 8 years old. I have never completley dried up.

I always thought is was a little strange, but since It didn't give me pain or leak out on it's own, I've never given it too much thought. My husband and I have even laughed about it. That is, until I mentioned it to a friend of mine who is an R.N. . She tells me that I may have a problem with my pituitary gland and that lactation should not happen after such a long period of time.

Any insight would be apreciated. I really don't want to have a scan of my head, or have to take medication. The natural way is the best way.
