Re: fish from a lake in India

Sounds yummy.

High concentration of nitrate and phosphate cause eutrophication of Kolleru Lake. Surface oxygen content of 11 to 15mg/l and pH 7.2 to 8.5 create highly eutorophic conditions. Water Birds add enormous amount of excreta into the lake aggravating further eutrophication (Kolleru Lake, of Andhra Pradesh).

If you insist on eating freshwater fish, be sure they are cooked well.
gill flukes, Anchor worm, Flatworm cysts, body flukes and fish lice on fish in freshwater.
