About twenty years ago, I used aloe vera to heal an anal fissure. The doctor I consulted assured me surgery was the only way to go and that I would be calling him when the pain got to me. Well, I had an infant and a toddler to take care of, so using plenty of very hot water and lots of soap, I cleaned the wound and saturating a cotton pad with aloe vera, treated the area. I left the cotton pad in that area and changed it frequently. In about two weeks I was fine. About two years ago I got another one, and treated it the same way. All gone!

This summer I was seriously constipated and used diluted aloe vera, MSM and virgin olive oil as an enema until the problem passed.

Now I have been drinking aloe vera juice to address the constipation problem. I drink a couple of ounces in the morning before breakfast, a swig when I can get a break at work, and sometime in the evening. That plus regular use of metamucil has licked a long time constipation problem.

I would say aloe vera is an inexpensive effective treatment for many common remedies. Tweet
