Yes. It helps to take herbs that soothe membranes - marshmallow, slippery elm, aloe vera. You can take the first two as tea or tincture, and aloe vera should be as a liquid, drinkable, rather than gel. Be sure to get one with very few preservatives .

Then you have to feed the tissues. Cod liver oil and whole, raw milk is very very healing to the kidneys and entire urinary system.

If there is an active infection, uva ursi and unsweetened cranberry juice are a big help. Comfrey is also good for short periods of time to rebuild tissues quickly.

It also helps to do a protocol that dissolves kidney stones. Apple cider vinegar and liquid phosfood will dissolve most stones pronto, or there's a good kidney tea that you can get - I forget the exact web page that sells it, but you can check in the Ask Andreas Forum .
