Dental amalgam , fact or fiction

I contacted several dentists in reference to this and they informed that this is something someone made up to blame the dental industry, is this true or fake?
I am curious due to this summer I had a strep staph and yeast infection on my feet, this got to my hands due to me itching one day, shortlt after this I busted a filling, and then a root canal cap, I then found dental Amalgam on a web search, I called the dentist and they gave me the so called story when I asked to get my fillings re done. They even told me that a cracked filling wouldnt give me anymore mercury exposure than a normal filling would, is this true ? I told my dentist not to give me mercury fillings but the ceramic ones and apparently he just covered the mercury ones with cermaic to make them look white. Since I busted the fillings i have been sick as a dog and had weird skin problems, urinary problems, rashes on my arms, throat, feet, penis and bumps other places on my skin. Lol and yes I did the HIv test thing, twice both negative results. Now I am having trouble with my heart and my skin feels weird, like its sweating inside my body.
Could this be cancer somewhere in my body or a problem with the mercury in my body ? I have found and noticed under my eyes look like im toxic or something , grey bags etc. Droopy eyes. i thought this may be a brain tumor but I am only 33 years old, and the cancer thing, I do smoke but i have never smoked more than a half a pack in over 12 yrs. so this should not be cancer related or should it ? Geesh I am baout go go nuts. The doctors around here claim that I have no cancer in my body anywhere whatsoever but refuse to screen me for cancer eventhough both parents died of cancer, my mother with breast and brain and my father with lung cancer only because he wouldnot quit smoking and he smoked two packs a day for years I have been told.
