You guys gave very helpfull information about sleep apnea...and yes there is a lot of ways to controle sleep apnea. like Behavioral Therapies, Positive pressure therapy,
Oral appliances, Surgery. Lose weight Sleep on your side,Regularize your sleep hours,Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP),Dental appliances, or oral mandibular advancement devices, can be made that prevent the tongue from occluding the throat and/or advance the lower jaw forward when one is lying down. These adjustments help keep the airway open during sleep. Such devices can be specifically, designed by dentists with special expertise in treating sleep apnea.Somnoplasty,Uyulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP), Mandibular maxillar advancement surgery, Nasal surgery, Tongue reduction surgery,Tracheotomy, Bariatric surgery, Genioglossus advancement....there is some other methods to control. Eliminate use of alcohol and medications, such as tranquilizers and sleeping pills. These relax the muscles in the back of your throat, interfering with breathing. Keep your nasal passages open at night. Using a nasal decongestant or antihistamine may help Sleep on your side or stomach rather than on your back. Sleeping on your back can cause your tongue and soft palate to rest against the back of your throat and block your airway. To prevent sleeping on your back, try sewing a tennis ball in the back of your pajama top.
Lose excess weight. Even a slight loss in excess weight may help relieve constriction of your throat.
