Re: Fruitarian diet nutritionally complete?

I will let the experts handle this one, however I can offer a little bit of insight on this. I do know that fruit contains natural protien in it, not to the extent of a steak obviously, but it does contain protien. I believe nature has he correct balance of protiens, fats, ect. for our needs as humans. I read bearfoot's claims that frutarian is the way to go, and I read how Dr. Andreas claims that fruit should be very limited and that a vegitarian lifestyle is the way to go. The result for me? I just mix it up, and eat fresh organic fruits and veggies with very little nuts and seeds for added protien if I need some extra other than what i'm already getting.

My opinion is that you need leafy greens and the MANY benefits that one gets from veggies, and ther eare countless. There have been stories of cancer being healed from a mixture of juicing veggies AND fruits, and to exclude either one for me wouldn't be ideal in my honest opinion. If you decide that your not getting enough fats, then add flax seed oil to your salad. I usually add flax seed oil and apple cider vinigar, and it tastes great.

No need to be extreme, just have both in moderation and you will live a healthy lifestyle.
