Fruitarian diet nutritionally complete?

Hi all! This is something I've wondered about. Is fruit complete to live on? I know some people do it (I'm so far from this point now...there was a time a few years ago, I was at least closer...but no where near it now). But is it sustainable? I know we don't need all the protein, and especially second hand cooked flesh protein, that the meat industry scares us into believing we must have....but are we missing something in not having any vegetables...some vitamins and minerals that fruit doesn't have? Vegetables always feel more 'complete' when I'm eating them...although usually I crave fruit much more than any vegetable...

Can anyone explain this to me...if fruit is complete? Or is it that we recycle most vitamins and minerals anyhow, so it doesn't have to contain all of them?

Thanks,
megan
