There have also been a lot of taoist immortalists. The curious thing about them is that they are the ONLY ones were women could do the same practices as men, and become immortal themselves. I read a beautiful book some years ago about the taoist immortalist women, it was rich of examples of girls living of light, able to appear and disappear at will in different places, and so on. Very inspiring.
