yes, eating no more than what you can hold in 2 closed hands,
which would come to about the same content,
if you were looking at a closed fist.
and even a little less/
since it is best to only fill
stomache about 2/3 full at a meal.

Also to refrain from drinking with a meal
except if you need a small sip
to moisten or if something gets stuck etc.
Drinking with meals dilutes the digestive acids,
Impeding proper digestion.

Cold drinks are very bad and hard on kidneys and liver,
if I drink anything from refridgerator,
I always dilute it with roomtemp water
to take chill off.

Taking time to focus on eating,
and proper chewing.
We should be chewing each bite
completely breaking it down before swallowing,
since the digestive enzymes in saliva
help release more nutrient value
(which we all know is better absorbed through mouth,
and helps the stomache to then complete the breakdown
more easily )

Very few people nowadays eat slowly and properly,
and actually focus on the delight of eating and
enjoying their food.
Environment is a factor as well.
again, most folks eat in and at highly stressful
times and places, and even just sit an d watch tv,
(ie: high stimulation stress and completely devoid
of enjoying your food, since most just mindlessly eat)

posture while eating is another factor.
and comfort.
I rarely eat anywhere except in my easy chair,
with no sound, or a soft gentle pleasing instrumental
or natural sounds music.
I take time to focus on my food,
enjoying the taste, texture, color,etc.
This also is in accordance with living in the moment.
This is the only time that you are actually living life.

To think of past, takes mind from living life fully NOW.
to think on future is pure speculation and an illusion.
What you think and do this very moment
is what will affect your future.

Of course you do think of future,
and carry thru NOW actions to bring it into your reality.
but the mealtime is not the time to do this.

I also believe that *family dining*
if at stressful time, and with stressful environment ,
should not be carried out/ if it does't result in
everyone having a relaxed experince.
Taking phones off hook etc, should be a top priority.
the world will not fall apart,
in the 30 minutes that you
take to fully enjoy a meal.

If you cannot eat at a table that is fully stressfree,
take your plate to your room or personal space,
and enjoy your meal in peace.
I often finish a meal by doing something nice
for myself/ such as read a bit in a good book,
put nice lotion on my hands,
listen to the universal sounds around me,
enjoy the moment of living and loving and experiencing
the universe, and the love vibrations I get from
the universe, and sending love back as well.

any little thing you do for yourself/
tells your body you love it.
Everything needs love to flourish.
Even the simple act of clipping nails,
putting lotion on , massaging your own body,
washing your face, drinking a nice warm tea and enjoying it..
etc,all send messages to self.
