Re: amalgam removal update and question

Boy, I feel for you!

According to Dr Huggins the body will rid itself of mercury naturally over time. The problem is when we try to artificially hurry it up by taking stuff. That causes it to be released into your bloodstream faster than it can be eliminated. Another problem with trying to detox while breastfeeding is that the toxins are eliminated in your milk. So you don't want to rush it with taking things internally. Better to get it out through your skin. He recommends sweating to get toxins out (hey, you're already doing that!) and taking hot Epsom Salts baths.

I got my Amalgams out before I read his books and what made me feel the best was the hot baths with epsoms and ginger. Go to the bath forum for more info about those. I didn't know why it worked but the day after the bath I would feel great.

I love the pesto but like you, I would worry about stirring up the toxins and then releasing them into the milk. It would probably be fine to give a bit to the baby, maybe without the lemon juice as that's pretty acid on a babies tender lips and skin. Olive oil and garlic would be ok I think.

Oh, about jarred baby food - It's awful! It's mostly water. The food is mixed with a lot of water to make a slurry that's thin enough to go through the piping system at the factory. Then they add stuff like rice flour or some kind of thickener to make it look more like real food. Which it isn't anyway because it's way overcooked, way diluted, and dead dead dead!

When my babies started eating solid food, I bought a Happy Baby baby food grinder, the kind with the handle at the top that you turn, and ground up real food for them. It's more work, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper and you know they're eating the best. I don't know if they still make those. I found one in a consignment shop for my granddaughter for $5.

Just my two cents!
