Re: This is a support forum!

I am one of the few involved in these discussions that is actively fighting cancer. I do not belittle alternatives. My advice has been consistant, and I urge all cancer patients whom I have contact with to follow an aggressive and disciplined nutritional program. That I ruffle so many feathers here, and also on some sites such as the Erbitux rah-rah site, suggests that I am doing well. A wise person battling cancer would do well to not get snared in a polorized world of extremes such as Quackwatch v. the "medical mafia matrix".

This is a forum to discuss effective treatments for people who face the battle of their lives against a ravaging disease. If anybody can recomend any quack cure (i.e. drink your own urine), and nobody is allowed to question the recomendation, then what do you have? I will tell you, you have a hall of death for cancer patients who get absurd advice from idiots. Without any check on the suggestions here, this site is usless. How would a patient facing near-term death expect to filter the chaff to get the real beneficial treatment?

I, sir, am a cancer patient battling a most aggressive and deadly cancer. My loyalty is to cancer patients, not to any modality of treatment. I don't care about far-fetched conspiracies, or ad-hominem attacks, I care about people. In my locale, I minister to them, I pray for them, and I attend far more funerals than I care to. I give out copies of "The Cancer Battle Plan", and "Antioxidants Against Cancer", and I always urge the patients I meet to consider aggressive nutritional therapy. Sadly, the leap from traditional to alternative is a leap that many can not make, even when facing death. But I minister to them, nevertheless. LAstly, and most importantly, I preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for one thing is certain, we will all die. This life is but a breath.

Out of curiosity, it would be interesting to know how many of the hard-core regulars on this thread actually minister to real patients on a regular basis, and how many simply hide behind their computers and post drivel annonymously. What an intersting statistic that woudl be.
