I don't know about passing on the mercury, but from what I have read you pass on some other important things that help the babies digestive system and immune situation.

Could you have the milk tested for mercury? Get advise from a natropathic doctor. My inclination would be to breast feed until I know facts that out weigh the good.

Are your other children healthy? That should be an indication that you have been doing something right if they are.
