Yes, your wife should continue with the flushes until she is stone free. The reason the pain ceases right after the flush is because there are no stones in that area, but as more stones move forward, she begins to feel pain. Taking a little Epsom Salts will help the pain. Dr. Clark says to wait 2-3 weeks between flushes to allow more stones to move forward. But, of course, if the pain is too great, flush immediately.
