I about fell off my chair when I read your post. I had to read it three times....and I am still wondering what in hell they thought they were trying to do to you. Did you have tissue sloughing off after their "treatment"? Very scareyyyyyyy, to say the least. I am assuming that you do not have PAP tests done any more ? I do not and here is why.

A few years ago I kept having white thick discharge. No itching, no other symptoms, just the stuff coming out. I went to the doctor. (first mistake, but I did not know any better at that time)
The quack (and he was) tried to do a PAP and also tried to scrape the cervix to get a "sample" for lab tests. He (yeah, a man, second mistake) could not get a sample and said to come back in three months. I went back much later (third mistake) and had a woman doctor who SURE did get a sample.....results came back, who knows what they were.....but then she wanted to do a biopsy....I did not go back for about another year...then I let them talk me into doing a biopsy.....I said I wanted to see the samples and she agreed. There in a little cup of fluid was five hunks of my cervix. She also did some thing else to me, I do not know what, but the other quack in there said "that should take care of it, you really got her good" I came home and started to pass hunks and chunks of black blood and tissue. It went on for several days. I called the quack and of course was told "this is normal". I had been messed up since then. I bleed for ten days or more at a time and am usually early, some times only having ten days in between periods. I have been helped for this with chinese herbs and I need to take more of them.

NO MORE PAPS for me, ever. I do not even know why I let them do any because I would not ever have the standard cancer therapy they offer, so what good is their test to me? None.....sorry for the rant. Reading your post made me think of all of this.
