Re: great story
I think the Osama Bush photo could have a warning as unsuitable for children, or the uptight. I see no problems with any of the other photos.
As someone who has studied "art" by all the "masters", I have to disagree with the idea that artistic nudity is somehow ok while all other nudity is unsuitable for children. Presently my two nephews can't laugh enough at butt, wedgy and fart jokes...they simply don't have the hangups adults have. In fact, it seems the perfect age to have serious talks about colon health as they are intrigued with poop. Children learn to feel shame about their bodies. If you have no shame about your own body then those "unclean" photos should pose no problem.
John's post is right on. My mother came from Sweden and always left the bathroom door open, and often dressed in front of us. My father did as well, and was usually doing the dishes in the evening in his underwear. Unfortunately, the barrage of tv images depicting the human body and sexuality as dirty help shape how children and adults feel about their own bodies.
I can't believe the amount of sexually disturbing trash that parents let their children watch (movies and pop singers that are marketed to them), and then throw a fit because they see a few naked bodies!
London is not a far stretch from U.S. culture.
Shame, shame, shame, shame, shame on yourself! If I feel the need to be shamed I'll go to church.
