Re: Need Your Help again Shelley...
Hi Darlene! Nice to hear from you. :) So sorry you're having a hard time of it still, hormonal issues are the WORST!
Hormonal upsets definitely contribute to insomnia. I have suffered that myself! I have to take a hormone shot to produce red blood cells/hemoglobin since my kidneys aren't producing the hormone. For a week after this shot, which is subcutaneous like insulin, I cannot get a good night's sleep. I take 1,000 mg of calcium to help make sure I can, but there are many nights I don't doze off until 4 am! yeesh! So yeah, messed up hormones means messed up sleep. Do what you can to get regulated.
Okay, high estrogen means bone loss, so it would be a good idea to look into *floor exercises*. Not harsh exercise or even much cardiovascular exercise. There are particular exercises that promote bone mass, and they usually go under the term of floor exercises. Google this and you should find some good guidelines from the weight training info online. Mostly you work out with light weights. You can check in the Ask Ana forum too, she usually has links to good documents about female/hormonal issues and such. It pays to educate one's self!
Hope that helps! :)
