Yes, you can work with doctors and keep total control. It's your right. It's what I do. Even hospitals in an emergency situation cannot do what you do not want them to do. I plan on doing a living will that says no resuscitation, no major life support. If I'm brain dead I'd rather be off the machines and just die and go on to the next phase of existence. :)

There's no other healing modality as accurate as lab tests, altho when it comes to H. Pylori and digestive disorders, tests are not always conclusive and cannot be relied upon. I look at the tests but then I use more holistic methods, using pharms only when there's a true need for them.

First of all, visit the website for the Great Smoky Diagnostic Labs. www.gsdl.com. I think that's the right one, the one most CureZone members use for stool tests for candida etc. There's also www.labtestsonline.com. You should be able to get most of the labtests you want done without a doctor's aid - whoo hoo!

I lucked out with a local walk-in emergency clinic. Fantastic doctor. A real straight-shooter. Just a regular MD, not a naturopath. If I say no I'd rather do this or that, he says okay, makes a note of it, and then we check on my progress. He charges me "cash prices" since I don't have insurance. I get copies of all my lab tests resutls and keep them in a file. I Google each lab test acronym, learn what it means, etc. I recommend that everyone do this, get a basic physical every year, keep the tests, and compare the numbers.

I've had good Naturopathic doctors, and some really scary ones, so I don't automatically assume an ND is a great guy. Sigh. Just be sure that they really are a true ND, which is real medical license with the same number of hours as a regular MD, as some people just go to a correspondence school for their initials.

Rest assured you'll have a huge support group here on CureZone, great people who know that doctors are just people, and fallible like anyone else! :)
