the type of steroid he's on needs, if I remember rightly, to be taken regularly to work at all. He can only "wean" off of them if he switches to the type that is fast-acting, using them only as necessary. It would be best to wait until he's fully hydrated, has adjusted his diet, and has done a bit of cleansing before then. And he might have to wait until his emotions are more temperate.
