Asthma

Hey Shelley. My little brother who just turned 13 has asthma. He was born with it actually and has been on different meds. Right now he's on Advair which he takes 1 dose per day but sometimes he skips. He is also fairly overweight. Is Advair a steroid? What do you know about curing asthma and what supplementation/changes do you recommend? For one he consumes a lot of Sugar so I know that is a huge one. Do you know what the cause/causes are for asthma? He was born in Singapore so I'm not sure if he was exposed to something there. My mom ate a lot of peanut sauce while she was pregnant which he is allergic to. Thanks for your help.
