Reposting...maybe you missed this one Shelley.
Well, here goes. My mom is nearly 80 and had oral cancer two years ago.
Thanks to the tobacco
industry they radiated her for a month and while knocking out the cancer
destroyed her saliva glands.
She recently had to have all her teeth pulled due to low saliva not protecting
them.
My question concerns her current problems. First, she is depressed and an MD
put her on Paxil
which did not even dent the
Depression and anxiety. She does take Synthyroid
and has a TSH
of 1.22 which is within "normal' range. She has always been a worrier.
Second, she coughs up a lot of mucous as of a couple of months ago. Its so
bad that she can
hardly get any sleep. Now what could be generating all that mucous. I am taking
her off milk in
an attempt to see if thats it. Beyond that, I am puzzled. Unfortunately I doubt that
I could get
someone that age to do things like a liver cleanse....besides she is very frail.
Any ideas folks........
