I have determined that much of my problem with poor digestion stems from eating fast and not chewing my food thoroughly. This coupled with drinking a lot of liquid when I eat must have created havoc for MANY years now (I am 55). I recall drinking 3 glasses of milk with dinner every night.
I am working on slowing down the eating and chewing more. I find, though, that the food loses flavor and the saliva (properly) mixes with the food as I chew. When it loses flavor, I just want to swallow it and take the next (flavorful) bite.
I will continue to work with this issue and not drink liquids during meals, but somewhere on Curezone I read the suggestion that while healing the leaky gut, it was a good idea to use a blender for foods to make them easier to digest. Obviously it would be a short term practice to use just while healing. But where would the necessary fiber come from?
