Have you had your thyroid checked? Carpal tunnel syndromes are often a side effect of hypothyroid.

Did they check for vitamin B12 or any other B vit deficiency?

Nutritional reasons for nerve weirdness include: lack of B vitamins, EFAs, Lecithin. You may want to try a bit of Magnesium, see if that helps at all.
