If your hubby is not circumsized, then he needs to be very careful to clean himself well before coitus and to wear boxer shorts so that air constantly circulates. If he is not suffering any symptoms currently (irritation, reddened, swollen, itchy skin, painful urination) then he's not suffering from a yeast infection or jock itch and doesn't need any creams. Chances are that if he's infecting you at all, it's because of oral-genital contact, if you do that. Spit always has yeast in it and the mouth always has bacteria in it.

Probiotics will be great for both of you in any case. :)

Try the acidophilus capsules first, they're cheaper than the OTC yeast medicines and often are better at stopping recurrances. Way back before I knew any better (hardly anyone knew about systemic candidiasis 20 years ago and there was no WWW like today), I was buying Monistat once a month! I was even upset when it was no longer a prescription drug, because my health care co-payment for prescriptions was just 5 bucks then, and when they made it OTC that meant paying 20 bucks instead. NOT a good trade-off for me!

And oh yes, be sure to use K-Y jelly for awhile to reduce abrasion. And definitely do a Bowel Cleanse of some type (colonic irrigations/enemas, fiber/herbs/gentle laxatives, oxygen-based cleanser). I think I forgot to mention that before??? Oh dear getting late! Must crash. :) Tweet
