Re: 'Shelly help PLEASE

If you have just a bit of a yeast imbalance somewhere in yoru body (most likely colon), the irritation that inevitably results from coitus will give you a yeast infection reaction. Having low thyroid will compound the issue, because having a low metabolic rate slows down the body's response to infection. And it's quite possible that the cause of your hypothyroid is congested liver and lack of good probiotics, which are also causes of yeast overgrowth.

As a temporary curative, use live acidopholis gelatin capsules as suppositories after thoroughly cleansing the vagina with a "finger douche" type technique. Just use running water to rinse your finger with and "go digging." Use the acidophilus about 7 days. You will experience discharge.

Take the Candida Questionnaire so you can self-diagnose whether you have a systemic yeast infection. If you have taken broad-spectrum Antibiotics in the past, chances are you do, and must be proactive in cleansing the intestines and avoiding simple sugars and taking probiotics. Please refer to the FAQ on thsi page for more info.

HOpe that helps! :)
