Re: Help with Chronic Pancreatitis
don't worry about asking questions, that's what we're here for! :)
I like
Dr. Schulze 's formulas, but i don't recommend for anyone to JUST take laxatives. When the colon spasms without anything in it repeatedly, that can cause further mishapening, if that's a word! :) The intestines are what we call a "hollow organ" and they rely on nerve impulses, exercise, massage, regular small packets of bulk fiber and a good diet of mostly warm whole foods to maintain a good shape.
An oxygen-based cleanser actually dissolves impacted fecal matter so that it comes off the intstines quite gently. You can mix it with
Dr. Schulze 's #1, taking that in very small doses, but usually the Colosan or
Oxypowder (available online not many health food stores carry them yet) will create diarrhea at first, and then nice soft stools next.
So really if you take the Colosan it's better to take something like Triphala, which is an ancient Ayurvedic remedy for intestinal health that strengthens, cleanses and is a mild laxative, and it's just made out of three fruits and nothing else. Highly rejuvenative to the intestines, safe in large doses, may take for months and months with no ill effects. Until you can get a bottle of this (local health food store may carry it, Maharishi Ayur-Ved products are widely distributed) prune juice and fennel tea will greatly aid the constipation. You can make fennel tea from fennel seeds.
Superfood is excellent. Other options are Perfect Food from Garden of Life and E3live. Oh and be sure to do some friendly microbe supplementation after about a month of bowel cleansing. kefir, yogurt, live acidophilus, and Primal Defense are all good options.
