Nursing mother and candida question
Shelly - may I first say how nice it is to see your picture! Feels even more personal asking you a question!
Here is the situation:
Young mother of two, nursing the 5 month old. She is having severe signs of Candida, and that is also turning into anxiety attacks. She has very limited resources and highly limited income. she reported that her baby has had blood in his stool, and at great expense, took him to the doctor, who told her to drink (I cannot spell this) acidopholus milk - which she cannot afford and WIC does not cover. She knows not to use sugar, flour tries to eat whatever vegetables they can and fruits too - we discussed that some fruits are very high in sugar. Thing is, most of their diet right now is rice - given to them, and they have cultural considerations of using/eating what is given to them.
Any suggestions for her to combat her Candida (she know it will take a while) while nursing her little one and living on a very limited budget? I am willing (more than willing) to get her some product, but I cannot affort much either, and worry about the effects of die off on her baby as she nurses him.
Thanks for any suggestions you might have.
