how does the syncromiter actualy work

I and my wife have been doing the parasite clense, zapping, and are planing to do just about everything dr.clark recomends, but!
I'v been trying to build the syncromiter as described in the "cure for all cansers" but i can't get it to work. I went on the net to find out why and one page excplanes that the plates dont have a closed sercit "meaning the curent dosent even run through them since there is only one wire conecting them to the syncromiter.
So how can it work??? and also I cant find the radioshack part #2721432a which is a .1 microfe.. capacitor so i tried a couple other .1 capacitors and the thing just dosent want to make the wee-wee sound but it does pop like its supose to do as discrtibed in the syncromiter video. I allso have all four of her books and lots of supluments. Please tell me we didn't wast our mony on a bad joke.
