Update - Re: 1st Flush- Great Results! (plus a few questions for Agnes & Lillian)
Thanks for the response!
The next day (Monday morning, especially) was quite interesting... I couldn't quite figure what was different at first - and why my dress clothes were so much looser - as I got ready for work.
Then, once in the office, I received about 3 comments right away along the lines of "wow - your face and neck look thinner...what did you do????" These were the same people who saw me just 2 1/2 days earlier on Friday eve. And I hadn't lost any bodyweight (whatever fluid I passed on Sun., I replenished it with water and juices that evening). My neck, especially, was approx. an
inch smaller (this is a good thing!) and I could literally fit 4 of my fingers inside my collar (which was not unbuttoned - it was buttoned up to the top) and move them around!
I hadn't done anything different to my clothes, but what has happened is that the edema / swelling in my body has largely disappeared! I have had this "on and off" since the early '90s (mostly "on") and on rare occasions, it has let up, but I didn't know what caused it to vanish. Too much to explain here, but in general, this started at the same time that I would get constant headaches and these episodes of extreme swelling & nasal congestion that would occur 20 minutes after I would eat and last for about 15 min. (fatty meals would trigger this) My face and both sides of my neck would swell up and turn bright red (like a sunburn) - it was as if someone was wrapping a towel around my neck and strangling me with it.
After my experience with the liver / gallbladder flush, I'm beginning to suspect the problem may well be related to those areas....
I've also suspected a sluggish liver for a while due to my body not being able to metabolize alcohol as fast as it used to (e.g., the alcohol from 2 beers late at night (close to Midnight) is still on my breath when I first wake up in the morning - and disappears shortly afterwards. I'm male, 6 ft. tall and approx. 165lbs. and in the past, this would have been metabolized in 2 hours - not in 6-7 hours! Same thing if I'm awake - 1 drink at dinner-time takes about 3 hours to vanish from my breath.
But the edema being gone is fantastic! It's as if those crazy sounds from the other night were my liver "unclogging" itself and now working closer to full capacity. I feel great, BTW since the flush.
Looking forward to doing another flush this weekend-
