Since you've cleansed internally it's okay to do some external intervention now, so do consider doing bi-weekly clay masks and ginger/turmeric masks on the whiteheads after a bit of steam treatment. Lavender oil in the steam water helps to soothe the skin. End your facial cleansing with a bit of witch hazel astringent.
