I used to chew on raw flax seeds but stopped because of the estrogen issue - one of the reasons why I stopped soy. Not good for trying to gain more lean muscle I would think. I take flax oil and sardine oil now, and wonder if I should stop the flax and just take sardine oil. Does all flax oil have the estrogen compounds, or just the lignan? I have tried "high lignan" flax oil but I can also go back to the regular flax oil, or quit flax altogether. That would leave sardine oil as my only oil supplement right now. What do you think?
