Re: my "mostly" paleo diet
What an interesting diet, hehe. I notice that you hardly eat any grains. I personally lose a lot of energy, strength and weight without grains. Eight meals a day is a lot, you trying to gain weight or something? I only have 4. Here are my comments:
MEAL 1 - What kind of apple juice is it? You juice them yourself or buy it? If you buy it, only buy organic unfiltered (keep an eye on expiry date). 12
oz. juice+orange+apple is too much sugar. Remove the orange and apple, and just have the 12oz juice and 4 eggs (this is exactly what i have on Saturdays). Drink the juice, and have the eggs 10 mins after. You cook your eggs? I eat mine raw, because they digest easier. I only use organic ones. If you're worried about bacteria in raw eggs, drop them in boiling water for 1 min.
POST WORKOUT - Don't use Powerade, it's nothing but simple sugar. After your workout use protein powder (no carbs) with flax oil.
MEAL 3 - I wouldn't mix bread and eggs together.
MEAL 6 - I'd remove the orange, and replace it with vegetables.
7 PRE WORKOUT - Remove the apple juice. There's no fat in your shake! Try adding flax oil.
MEAL 8 - I wouldn't combine meat and bread.
Your fruit intake is way higher than your vegetable intake, it should be the other way around. You current diet has too much sugar. You say you want to improve your energy, fitness and shape? I'd suggest that you buy a book called "The Fat Burning Diet" by Jay Robb. It also talks about proper food combining (no proteins with grains, etc.). Check it out, great book (i have it). Let me know if you buy it.
