But I will comment that since adding back protein (chicken and eggs) my pH has actually gotten better and with HCL it seems to help even more (more alkaline, more often). I presume that I am now more able to absorb those alkaline minerals. I no longer need to supplement calcium all day and night just to keep my pH up and I can sleep ALL night without any melatonin or other sleep aides. I never dreamed it would be so easy to become alkaline. Before any protein or bad carb would make me acid, I was really struggling. Now I can cheat a little a still be alkaline. I feel like I am getting somewhere.
