If you can tolerate the small amount of caffeine in green or white tea, I greatly suggest drinking a lot of it.
Your papain will partially digest the protein, and the tannins in green tea binds with unabsorbed proteins. Theorically, they would also bind with the toxins that are proteins.
I don't know the exact method of action, but they also soothe the digestive tract and they have a known antifungal effect. My digestion greatly improve when I drink ~10 cups a day.
The caffeine in green/white tea is bound with these tannins and is thus released a lot more slower than the caffeine from coffee.
