Re: candida albicans and malassezia furfur

This type of infection [malassezia furfur] is normally associated with dermal-type manifestations. There are topical creams and shampoo's for scalp. It also belongs to the fungi that is commensual to the human host. This may be out-of-control from secondary factors in a pathogenic candida{or other} fungal infection.
It is always recommended to modify diet and start standard anti-fungal protocols. In the case of malassezia furfur, the avoidance of short-chain fatty acids is recommended. Shroom
