Re: this forum seems crazy

Hi #29417

Regarding your comments on vinegar. This is a confusing issue for me. I went into the BestofShelley pages (see top of forum page) and read her comments on candida. She must be a practitioner of some sort.

She states that vinegar and stuff fermented in vinegar, saurkraut etc, should be eaten for candida, on the basis that if vinegar can be used as a household cleaner, it also cleans out toxins, candida etc etc from the intestinal tract. I have leaky gut and am desperately trying to heal myself.

The impression I get from BestofShelley is that leaky gut should be healed first, eg parasites dealt with, candida cleared away, gut wall restored, with the help of various stuff, including vinegar and foods in it. She also says that live bacteria SHOULD NOT BE INTRODUCED INTO THE GUT until leaky gut has been restored, as live bacteria will be being released in to the bloodstream, where they should not be and thus cause all sorts of problems for the body/immune system/liver etc to deal with.

Once leaky gut is healed, she then says reintroduce probiotics on a large scale.

What do you think? SHe also advocates hot/pungent foods, eg chilli cayenne etc, as they help get rid of these unwanted gut invaders.

Just wondered what your thoughts were. You seem to know a lot.
Anyone elses thoughts on the matter would be helpful, too.

Thanks in advance

Fiona
