Desperate for Help

I have been trying to cure myself of candida for two years. Whilst some progress has been made, I have been reading messages on this site, and also the leaky gut site (which, I believe I have). I think I would benefit from a fast. However, reading as I have, it seems that if my candida is extreme, the lemonade fast cannot be done because of the maple syrup. Is that true? Can I do the lemonade fast without the maple syrup without making myself ill?

I also read that if live yoghurt gives you diahhrea (spelling?!), and a bloated abdomen, which it does, then my leaky gut may be severe. If that is true, what can I do about it? I am grain intolerant, and wondered if that also means my LGS is severe?

I have reason to believe my candida had a stronghold by age four. I am forty four now, and have battled (and won) through chronic alcolism, amongst other symptoms, peaking with the loss of my career through chronic neck pain. Surgeons discussed operating to remove two disks from my neck. The pain cleared totally when I went on the candida diet and went gluten free. I read that neck pain and alcoholism are both symptons of severe candida.

If my candida is as bad as that, and my LGS extreme, is there hope for me? Or is the best I can ever hope for, to simply keep it under moderate control, but never eliminate it?

Even after all this time I still suffer terrible cravings for carbs and sugar.

any help or advice about the way forward with a fast would be appreciated.
