I was never aware that I had a serious candida problem. I am hypothyroid, on 1 grain of Armour a day. My allergist tested me for candida allergy and I had a fairly strong reaction to candida in the skin test and blood tests. He prescribed Diflucan 2x week for 8 weeks and a semi-strict candida diet. I did the diet for a couple months & am still mostly following it. I did some natural therapies before and after the Diflucan.
I never had any food reactions or serious candida symptoms -- just very infrequent vaginal yeast infections, some mild skin problems & classic hypothyroid symptoms which are 90% better on Armour. I still don't react to foods. I actually feel more fatigued/spacey than I did before, but still no classic candida symptoms. Or is feeling worse a result of the Diflucan or die-off or what? I'm not sure if it's that or my thyroid or both.
I've done parasite and Liver Flushes as well as other things to help my system overall.
I don't know what to do now? Do I still have candida? How do I know?
