Has anyone ever heard of Kangen Water?

It is a unit you buy, hook up to your fawcet and it makes your water chemically equivalent to that of holy, healing waters. I guess it's been around for a long time, but only became popular recently from some Japanese doctor's incredible findings. They are having miraculous cures with it, especially with gastrointestinal based illnesses (I'm guessing Candida would be helped with this). I was all gung ho about it, until I found out the unit is like $4000!!! They do have a monthly payment plan you can do instead that comes out to about $167 a month, but still, that a lot of money. I was totally bummed about out after I found out about the cost. Has anyone every heard of this before, had any experiences with it or know a less expensive but equal alternative? Thanks.
