Re: A few questions?
DavyLP,
I order from SunOrganic. I really like them. You can get your sprouting seeds from there also.
I get my Superfood from Dr Schultz (herbdoc.com). If your mother doesn't like greens, I doubt she will like green powders, they are an acquired taste. She should go to the healthfood stores and buy some Spirulina and Chlorella in tablet form so she can swallow. I know that's cheating, but it's better than nothing. Another thing would be to get some nori and shred it a little and eat it on rice dishes; that's very popular here in Japan.
The other high-calcium seed is sesame. I make a sesame shake for myself almost every day with raw tahini and medjool dates from sunorganic.com. As far as nut butters not being truely raw, I don't know. At least Sunorganic makes their own. The other places I have ordered from just sent me that Marantha stuff; I don't know which is better. Get enough sunlight also, especially if you have darker skin; vitamin D deficiency will impede the absorbtion of calcium. Instead of using sunscreens, try eating fruits high in antioxidents before going out. My blonde daughter was outside for hours every day last summer and never got burned.
If you don't like a variety of greens, have you tried just getting mixed baby greens from the grocery store? They are a quick, well varietied salad, ready to eat:-)
Tina.
