Re: Toxic stomach gas
i found out it was detoxing because it eventually went away after a couple of weeks. and when i made the same exact soup with same exact recipe and ate it practically for every meal again, and i did not have the same reaction. i was sure it was the soup the first time i was having all the problems so i stopped eating it. cabbage is notorious for causing gas and my soup was full of cabbage. but i gave it a second try about a month later and had no problems at all. and i also haven't had diarrhea like that since - it was strange and heavy like clay and lighter in color almost gray or whitish like the color of clay too. usually i get backed up and poop pellets if i am doing worse or ate something that i shouldn't have and i don't have one full formed bowel movement. lots of little pebbly things for a couple of weeks after a really bad binge. YUK!
many people experience flu like symptoms during die off and feel a lot worse. i felt a hundred times better all over my body during my first few weeks of die off except for that one problem - the horrible gas and diarrhea. now i don't know what to think when i wake up feeling like crap. i have been waking up feeling like i have meningitis or the flu or something for the last week...achy all over and my neck feels all swollen but as i get going for the day i feel a lot better. i don't know if it is die off or that i am just not doing so good - but i have been following the diet very strict for the last couple of weeks so i am assuming i couldn't be doing poorly. this thing seems to happen in cycles. it's hard for me to distinguish die off from when i ate something bad that is causing a bad reaction in me. i am still trying to figure that one out. i think that is part of the problem with doing too many supplements at once...you never know what is good and what is bad. so that is why i am starting from scratch again and just doing the diet and a very small amount of supplements. i did my best when i was only dieting and nothing else.
all i can tell you is i do think you are experiencing die off. if you didn't have the gas before starting the diet then you are definitely detoxing and like someone mentioned maybe a little too quickly. maybe just do the diet alone for two weeks to a month and then start supplements. that is what i did and i still had the gas and diarrhea but it may help in your case to back off a bit. you can't really go into this thing full force in my opinion because it makes you way weaker than you already are. it didn't sound like you were doing a whole lot of pill popping but the caprylic acid may be too strong for you right now. just my thoughts on it but you need to do what you think is best for you. a lot of us on here are still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't...and sometimes the candida becomes stronger and more resistant and things that once worked, don't anymore - at least that is what i read on here.
