Re: Tinctures

Typically parasites and Candida go hand in hand; this is due to to a weakened immune system which allows these species to overgrow. Combining all those tinctures might not be advised as too many toxins can be released too fast. Also, most tincture's solvent is ethanol so you might get a drunken feel directly from them.

I still am trying to understand the role of ethanol in a candida ridden system; supposedly it is yeast's waste so it certainly shouldn't feed candida; it will create more toxins though as the liver has to convert it acetaldehyde. I would think Candida sufferers typically have a low level of ethanol in their systems due to continuous waste release from yeast. This was evident when my naturopath told me i am sensitive to acetylaldehyde (basically my liver is working overtime to convert yeasts waste).
When I do drink straight alcohol like vodka (must be sugarless or else my oral thrush begins to go berserk), I don't feel as it is feeding the candida (it overworks the liver though) and most of the time I wake up the next morning feeling good for some reason. I'm not encouraging anyone to drink by the way;)
