Re: Anne
Hi Dave, I came to the conclusion that mercury is contributing to my candida/chronic fatigue by hair analysis, a DMSA challenge (not advisable) and my history of
Amalgam fillings and Hep B
vaccinations (contain thimerosal which is 50% mercury). Dont' know who you're having it done with but
http://www.doctorsdata.com and
http://www.traceelements.com in the US are highly recommended. Hair analysis needs careful interpretation as it's not always obvious that mercury or other metals are a problem.
As far as good places on candida/mercury link (if that's what you meant), I'd recommend Andy Cutler's work (www.noamalgam.com). I'm following his protocol for mercury chelation. It's one of the safest chelation protocols. The only one I would recomend. He also has a book on how to interpret hair tests though I haven't got it myself.
Having said all that white fillings don't contain mercury, mercury
Amalgams are mostly mercury mixed with silver. Find out what was in the fillings, then you might want to check out the
Amalgam Forum on curezone for more info on that. If you had mercury
Amalgam fillings *replaced* (doesn't sound like you did) then you may have had some mercury exposure.
I don't know but I would guess the
Antibiotics and infection played a bigger role in your case so the only thing you can do is work on you diet and take the recommended supplements to boost your immune system. If that doesn't work maybe you could look further.
Hope that helps,
Anne
