Re: question for Rachel!

Vlad,

Personally after all the research I've done I think its worth it for ANYONE who's sick to try a gluten-free diet. It doesn't cost anything and more often then not it turns out to be a big piece in the puzzle....if not the answer to the whole puzzle.

I'm heading out right now so I will give a more detailed list of foods to eat later. I have no clue as to what the labeling laws are like in Romania. I'm in the U.S. and I have certain lists of "safe" foods and products that I've downloaded but I don't know if you guys have the same food brands as we do here???

Are you on the Candida diet? Obviously meats, veggies, fruits, fish, and eggs are all ok...all those are gluten-free. Oats are NOT gluten-free. Depending on how sick you are you could have a very sensitive digestive system if you did have celiac disease. Some foods may not agree with you...especially dairy. This is common for celiacs and usually gets much better once the intestines have time to heal.

Here are some lists of safe and forbidden food ingredients. Again not sure if Romania is similar to the U.S. as far as labeling.

Also when I was on the candida diet I was only eating the foods listed above...so no gluten. I was still getting sick from what was in my supplements, lotion, hair products, spices, licking stamps and envelopes...all of these had gluten in them.

Anything that lists wheat, barley, rye, spelt, kamut, triticale or oats in the ingredients is NOT gluten free. Primal Defense for example has barley grass and oat grass. I got real sick after taking that product. I thought it was die-off. Some of it probably was because alot of Celiacs do have candida but the candida is not the main issue. Its pretty easy to control once the celiac problems are fixed. I'm sure I got so sick because of the gluten in Primal Defense.

Do you think you have alot of gluten in your diet? If you have NO gluten getting into you and you're still sick you probably dont have celiac. What is your diet like?
