Re: Digestive enzymes

Low stomach acids indicate a need for digestive enzyems. Low s/a can be indicated through much stomach bloating and gas from either end : ) following meals.

Itchy eyes after eating can indicate food intolerances /allergies as can bloating/gas. Feeling sleepy following a meal can also be indicative of food allergies AND low s/a.

Low stomach acids can be aided through ingestion of 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar mixed with a small portion of warm water prior to meals or with meals. Or some lemon juice with a little bit of salt before a meal (about 15 minutes prior). Also, try some pungent, hot and/or bitter spices with foods. This aids digestion in addition to a variety of other wonderful cleansing effects. My favs include: cayenne pepper (great for circulation), tumeric (great for liver); cilantro and coriander are bitter herbs and great for detoxing the body...licorice and ginger (both great for leaky gut), nutmeg and cinnamon (reduces mucous buildup wherein candida can hide)...

FOR food allergies :
try an elmination diet whereby you elminate foods from your diet for several weeks (some say 2 to 3 weeks) then re-introduce them and watch for any "reactions". Begin with foods that you typically eat because these foods were in place when the candida began.

Take CAre,
Alex : ))
